Welcome to The Arena!
The Arena is a Dungeons and Dragons Fifth Edition (5E) adventure which is played on Discord. The Arena is play-by-post, meaning that each player takes their turn posting their actions and then other players react to those actions.
The Arena utilizes Avrae, a DnD Discord Bot, to perform rolls, track HP, and perform other crucial functions of the game. Avrae is capable of importing sheets from DnD Beyond, Dicecloud (v1 and v2), and GSheet (a Google Drive based character sheet). Due to the nature of The Arena, we also utilize a custom bot, The Traveler, to track player statistics and progress.
The Arena isn’t like most campaigns that are thought of when someone mentioned Dungeons and Dragons. In our game, players are transported to the magical realm of The Traveler, a mischievous god, who wishes them to fight in his arena against others he has brought to his domain. He promises those who fight the opportunity to gain wealth, power, fame and, most importantly, the ability to return home.
So, adventurer, you’ve found yourself at the whim of a god… Pick up your sword, your staff, your bow; and prepare to fight – IN THE ARENA!
